Velos Deluxe
Cycling technology - like all science, is a process of continual testing and development. This is a fact which people sometimes forget. Last year's big leap forward can become dated very quickly as experience feeds back improvements.
Therefore, here at Velos Deluxe we are not afraid to go against conventional wisdom and current market trends when we think they can be improved upon.
Our current area of interest is frame material - chrome alloy steel in particular. A strong tradition of continuous development in tube technology by Colombus in Italy mean that the strength to weight ratio of this material has improved dramatically.
Result: Using this new tubing material, frame wall thickness is now as little as 0.8mm, with no sacrificed strength or rigidity and a significantly longer life! ...Far from being a 'back to the future' moment, this is actually a solid development from the long line of improvements stretching back to the world beating steel-tubed Bianchi frames of Fausto Coppi and Marco Pantani.
Frames are tig welded by experienced craftsmen (rather than glued or soldered) to make a highly efficient racing frame of approximately 1000 grams. This is about half the weight of the lightest available 15 years ago. Velos Deluxe are happy to be at the forefront of this new era of 'super steels' in cycling.
Achieve an accurate and mechanically efficient fit:
Ease of manufacture in steel means that custom built frames (always better matched to your particular body dynamics and particular use) are within reach of everybody.
Approximated 'three sizes fit all' ranges in other materials cannot provide this level of lasting value to individual riders. Of course, we also offer endless possibilities in colour and design.
Take a look at our whole range within the following pages, contact us for particular details, drop by for a chat or an in-depth fitting. We are not a mass-outlet - on the contrary, Velos Deluxe is owned and staffed by experienced professionals who fully understand the range of reasons that we all cycle - from team and club racers, to fitness, touring, and beyond.
